We Asked 20 Women: How Do You Feel About Guys With Hairy Legs?

Male and female professional swimmers both shave their legs. Should you do the same if you’re a male who isn’t an outstanding athlete? It’s all up to you. But, just in case you’re wondering, we polled 20 women about their feelings toward guys who shave their legs. Here’s what they had to say.

“I think it’s strange when males don’t have leg hair, but if removing it helps them feel better, I don’t mind.” Nicole R. –

“Please don’t shave your legs. It’s enough for one person (myself) to cope with stubbly legs. It’s like rubbing cactus together when two individuals snuggle with stubby legs.” – Miranda G.

“It’s all so random.” Why are you getting rid of your hair if you aren’t a model or a professional swimmer? To each their own, I should say as a social worker. However, as a woman who adores a strong guy, I say retain it.” Carla S. is a writer who lives in the United States.

“I guess we can’t condemn them for manscaping when we’re over here putting on artificial eyebrows and shaving,” she says, “but this still feels wrong.” B. Samara

“Please don’t shave your legs. If you can braid it, you can trim it. But, for the most part, I’m a sucker for a laid-back man.” Anne S. –

“It’s out of the ordinary.” That irritates me.” Sam K. –

“It’s dishonest of me to say ‘it’s natural, keep it,’ since it’s normal for women to have hair, yet we shave or wax it all off.” But, please, don’t shave your legs.” Taylor L. is a writer.

“Never, ever touch your leg hair!” Sarah G. –

“You’re such a jerk. Shaving your legs, in my opinion, makes you less of a guy.” Carissa M. is a writer who lives in the United States.

“It doesn’t bother me if a guy cuts his leg hair to the point where he can braid it. After all, they’re his legs, so do whatever you want with them. I’d tell a man to “shove it” if he instructed me what to do with my body hair. Erica M. is a freelance writer who lives in New York City.

“I implore you to retain your leg hair.” The chest and back are fair game, but keep your arms and legs to yourselves.” Alex D. –

“Unless you’re Michael Phelps, don’t shave your legs.” Also, do males realize how aggravating upkeep is??” Sasha L.
