The Samsung Galaxy S6 Active was released lately as a more durable version of the Galaxy S6 flagship, with strong features and dual-mode wireless charging.
Wireless charging may not be growing at the rate that many users would prefer, but it is rising nonetheless. While many gadgets still lack wireless charging features, an increasing number of smartphones are following suit and providing this added convenience, allowing users to avoid getting tangled up in cords and being confined to a wall socket.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 Active is one of the gadgets that offer additional convenience in this area, since it, like its Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge siblings, allows wireless charging. Both Qi and PMA, two common charging technologies, are supported by the tough handset.
However, according to certain rumors, the Samsung Galaxy S6 Active only supports Qi wireless charging and not PMA. PocketNow has gone to great lengths to demonstrate that the device is really compatible with dual-mode wireless charging.
PocketNow put the Samsung Galaxy S6 Active to the test by taking it to a Starbucks with Powermat (PMA) chargers integrated into the tables. When placed on a Powermat, the device began charging through PMA very instantly, demonstrating that it not only supports Qi wireless charging but also PMA.
As a reminder, the Galaxy S6 Active was released as a more rugged version of the Galaxy S6 flagship, with the goal of providing more durability without sacrificing features. The Galaxy S6 Active is more durable than the ordinary Galaxy S6, yet it keeps the premium features of the standard Galaxy S6.
